1. Comparative study of the Sino-Finnish UAS model

The Finnish University of Applied Sciences has a long history and rich experience as University of Applied Sciences and is willing to discuss with the Chinese higher education institutions to develop a model of the University of Applied Sciences in line with China's national conditions. That is, the combination of theory and practice, the application-oriented talents that meet the needs of the company and society.

2. Consultation of University of Applied Science- model transformation

We offer different packages such as discipline construction, curriculum development and so on.

3. Integration process between industry and education

The Finnish side is willing to assist higher Chinese institutions to establish an education model combining colleges and enterprises, such as in-school learning with related professional enterprises for internships, and enterprises participating in the development of projects in the school's curriculum.

4. Pedagogy and teaching methods

Finland has the world's top education system and teaching methods. Finnish students have less homework, studying pressure and much less school time than China, but this does not affect their skills and work ability after graduation. Finnish students are highly motivated to learn and have a wide range of knowledge and competence regarding the relevant work field. From the Finnish part we hope to use this platform to export our own experience and methods into Chinese education and teaching.

5. Jointly train applied talents

Comprehensive universities pay more attention to theory and research, but in real work life, there is very little demand for scholars and researchers in all different kinds of fields, and companies are more eager to find applied and practical talents with skills in relevant fields. The Finnish partner is willing to assist the Chinese partner in establishing applied talents suitable for the needs of enterprises in Chinese society.

6. Work-based research and development skills

In Finland companies can participate in University of Applied Sciences´ classes in related fields giving students in this course a mission or task related to the company´s real market need. For example, marketing courses can be connected with B2C enterprises. Company can ask how to improve the attractiveness and purchasing power of potential customers of the company. Students can develop marketing methods that are suitable for potential consumers. And so on to build practical work-based R&D skills in schools.

7. RDI-collaborations

In the cruel competition of society, enterprises must constantly innovate their own products, services and marketing to avoid being eliminated by the torrent of the market. RDI means research, development and innovation. RDI can help companies to develop products that consumers really need, provide better customer service, and find innovative ideas that keep pace with the times. In Finland, each university of applied sciences has its own RDI department, which is very complete and comprehensive in form and content. Finland is willing to discuss with the Chinese partners about RDI projects which are suitable for China.

8. Joint- and double degrees/institutions

Double-degree or joint-degree cooperation between Finnish and Chinese higher education institutions. Nowadays many Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences have established double-degree and joint-degree cooperation with Chinese universities. We hope to use this platform to continue expanding cooperation.

9. Teachers training

Finnish teachers are world-renowned for their teaching philosophy of equality with students. We hope to let more Chinese teachers get to know Finnish teachers' teaching models, concepts and methods through teacher training.

10. International seminars

Establish the relationship and connection between China and Finland in the form of seminars and exchanges and conduct in-depth discussions on the specified content to further improve the information and professionalism of the two sides in this field.
