In order to promote academic exchanges and cooperation between universities in Dujiangyan and those in sister cities, Dujiangyan and Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences China-network held an online video exchange recently. Representatives from Sichuan Agricultural University Dujiangyan Campus, Sichuan College of Industry and Commerce, and Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences China-network attended the exchange meeting.
Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences China-Network is designated by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland and founded in March 2021. Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences China-Network consists of 20 applied science universities in Finland, accounting for 90% of all applied science universities in Finland. It aims to help Finland's University of Applied Sciences connect with China's education sector, promote win-win results for both sides, and create an open, all-win and friendly platform for the cooperation between Chinese and Finnish universities of applied sciences.
At the exchange meeting, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Embassy of Finland in China expressed its hope to further promote the educational cooperation and exchange between Finland University of Applied Sciences and China, so as to boost the development of applied education in China and Finland and empower the cultivation of applied talents in China and Finland. The representative of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences China-Network introduced the basic information of them and expressed his willingness to actively promote the school-enterprise cooperation projects between China and Finland, so as to cultivate applied talents in fields urgently needed by China and Finland in the future.
Sichuan Agricultural University Dujiangyan Campus and Sichuan College of Industry and Commerce respectively made a detailed introduction to the school situation and infrastructure, and expressed their own opinions on cooperation intention, cooperation areas and ways. Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, which are partners of Sichuan Agricultural University Dujiangyan Campus, talked about food safety, giant pandas and tourism in their speeches, expressing their hope to broaden the areas of exchange and cooperation in the future and strengthen their ties and friendship.
Humak University of Applied Sciences, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences gave a detailed introduction in outdoor learning, retirement and technology welfare.
As the city with three heritages, Dujiangyan promotes the educational exchanges and cooperation between universities in Dujiangyan and its Finnish sister cities, which is conducive to the optimization of the educational resources of Dujiangyan and the construction of "five new cities" in Dujiangyan.
