Sino-Finnish Joint Development Days of the China-Network

From April 22 to 24,2024, the Sino-Finnish Joint Development Days were held in Helsinki, Finland. The event was organized by the China-Network of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences. There are 88 participants from 19 Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences and 7 Chinese higher education institutions.


We were honored to have guests such as Ms. Jonna Korhonen, Director of the Division for Higher Education Policy from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. Chen Rui, Vice President of the National Education Administration of China (NAEA). Riitta Konkola, Chairman of Arene. Dr. Sun Hongzhi from the Chinese Embassy in Finland. Jaakko Hallila, Chairman of China-Network of Finnish UAS. The three-day event venues were located at the Myllypuro campus of Metropolia, Leppävaara campus of Laurea and Pasila campus of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.


The Sino-Finnish Joint Development Days brounght parties from China and Finland together, in order to jointly build cooperation projects between two countries in the higher education field. Participants delved into a myriad of topics ranging from Finnish and Chinese higher education systems, social impact and work-life cooperation to healthcare innovations and digital transformation. Experts from diverse fields shared insights, best practices, and success stories, sparking fruitful conversations and laying the groundwork for future collaborations.


Through panel discussions, workshops, and campus visits, participants exchanged ideas, forged new connections, and laid the groundwork for future collaborations.

The Sino-Finnish Joint Development Days served as a bridge, not just a success event but a promise of continued cooperation and friendship, bound by a shared commitment to progress and prosperity.
